Dog grooming tables

grooming_2_crop_lrg.jpgtd901black1.jpgA friend of mine recently purchased a dog grooming table because she suffers from back problems.  She has two large dogs who have long hair and grooming them was becoming a nightmare both for her and the dogs.

Trying to lift them on to a suitable surface was almost impossible due to the weight of the dogs and her back problem, not to mention to struggling involved on both parts !!  Trying to groom them whilst on the floor involved bending down which wasn’t comfortable and the dogs kept trying to move away which didn’t help.

She looked at the dog grooming tables on offer – foldable ones, tables with wheels, hydraulic dog grooming tables and electric tables.  She hadn’t a lot of room but wanted one which offered a good table size and didn’t require much effort.  She eventually opted for the hydraulic one and has never looked back !!

It’s ideal for both the professional dog groomer and also the general public who want their dog to be groomed at home with the least of trouble.   The dog grooming table has a high quality, non-slip, rubber top table which measures 36″ x 24″ which was ideal for her dogs and the table top rotated and lifted from 30″ – 36″ so no bending down !!  The adjustable-height grooming arm meant that she could safely secure her dogs on to the table so they were in a position to be groomed.

So many people are now opting to do their own dog grooming, particularly now that there is an economic downturn in the UK and there are currently dog grooming tables to suit all pockets on the market.

My friend is now looking at purchasing the electric dog bath to take the strain off her back and also one of the pet hair driers.  She has been using her own hair drier but because it takes so long, the 2800 watt pet hair drier is definitely on the books !!
