Looking after your pet reptile
Once you have bought your pet reptile his new reptile habitat and he has settled in, you have a responsibility you keep him safe and well. You also have to take into consideration your own safety.
All vivariums and reptile homes are made with your pet’s security in mind.
However, it is important you check every day to make sure your new friend has not tried to escape.
Larger reptile pets such as snakes are likely to become bored if their reptile home is not large enough for him to move around and have enough space to keep him occupied.
Snakes who become bored have a habit of rubbing their nose again their reptile home in an attempt to escape
Try using a dog crate split in half as a shelter and placed in your pet’s reptile home. Reptiles love to hide.
A reptile will not be interested in what is happening on the outside of his reptile home if he is interested in his reptile products inside.
If you have a small reptile you can use one of our wood reptile products such as a log or piece of wood. These products give your pets a feeling of being safe while sleeping.
Owners of smaller reptiles often let their pet loose in a living room. This can be dangerous for both parties.
