If you are lucky enough to own a dog and a large garden then why not consider making a dog run for your dog to play in safely without him digging up your garden borders when he’s burying his bones !! 

We at ideas-4-pets have many customers who ring for advice on dog runs.  Some customers like to have a dog run that is ready made because the know the exact size they require and just want it delivering and putting up in record time.  Other people are not sure about what size they want for their particular dog and have looked at the sizes available and think they are too long, too short or not big enough.

The great thing about making your own dog run is that you can decide exactly how large or how small you want it to be.  You can have a roof on it if you want or a door which can either open to the right or the left.  This is great if you want to place the dog run in a particular place and have to have the door in the short end or on the left or on the right.

 What’s also great is that the panels are modular which means that you can add to them at  any time - add a new door, extend it by a few feet, put a void panel in it so that your dog’s dog kennel can butt up against the void and give him access to run.

The opportunities are endless and they are so simple to put together - all you have to do is bolt them together with the nuts and bolts that are provided.  Of course it’s advisable to put the runs on to a concrete base so that they are easily cleaned or hosed out.  If you put then on to grass there is always the problem of mowing inside the run - it’s amazing how many people haven’t thought about that !!

The main benefit of a dog run whether you decide to make your own or buy a ready-made one, is that you always have piece of mind that your dog is safe and secure and your garden will remain intact !!

Remember to always provide plenty of fresh, clean water for your dog when he’s in the run and a few of his favourite treats won’t go amiss too !!
