Points to consider when purchasing a dog bed
Buying a dog bed is an important occasion for you and your dog and there are various things that you should consider before purchasing.
A good tip is to measure your dog when lying down asleep. How much room does he take up? Most dog beds quote the outside measurements so it important to either find out the internal measurements of the bed or take a couple of inches off the overall size to give you an idea of the internal sizing.
Does your dog prefer to be raised off the ground or does he prefer to cuddle up in a soft dog bed? Is your dog incontinent - if so, you might want to consider a waterproof dog bed. Is your dog arthritic or has he had surgery? If so, you might want to purchase an orthopaedic dog bed.
If unsure of what size to choose for your dog, it is always better to err on the large size as buying one too small will be a waste of money.
There are so many dog beds to choose from nowadays that you are sure to find the perfect one for your dog and you can even match it to your own decor.
