About Java Trees

Made from the natural wood of coffee trees which have become non-productive and dormant after producing coffee for many years.

The dormant tree is taken from the ground, de-barked, sanded and either baked or kiln dried for several days to make them incredibly hard wearing. This process also helps to prevent the Java Trees from splitting

The trees are then sawn near the crown and stainless tubing and rods are inserted into the crown and trunk respectively

Specifications

• Each Tree has an indivually carved and varnished base so wherever the bird sits on the tree, droppings should still fall onto the base (the more spread out the tree the bigger the base)
• Please note that as this is a natural product each tree is individually different
• Although very hard-wearing these trees are not indestructable so provide toys and other materials to chew on
• Approx. size 120cm x 90cm
• Approx. height 160cm
• Branch size on this model is suitable for large type birds
